This superb luxury hilltop kasbah with pool, hammam and exceptional restaurant is one of the most sustainably managed hotels in Morocco. The outstanding location of this Kasbah offers 360 degree panoramic views with a bird’s eye view of the High Atlas, traditional Berber villages and the lush Ourika river valley below.
Accommodation:
There are 15 luxurious rooms or suite with wonderful views, built using natural materials and decorated in muted natural colours. Beds are exceptionally comfortable. There are 2 Standard Bedrooms, 8 Junior Suites and 5 Deluxe Suites, each unique, most with bath as well as shower and very high quality fittings. Some rooms have fireplaces and private terraces.
Location:
Stunning location on a hill top at the entrance ("Bab”means gate) to the Ourika valley. Just 35 minutes from Marrakech International Airport and 45 minutes from Marrakech Medina, the hotel is undoubtedly the most conveniently located Kasbah on such a spectacular site. The property enjoys sun all day as well as fantastic sunsets.
Services:
Access is by an unmade road. Very convenient for visits to a saffron farm, an organic herb garden producing essential oils and the Monday’s Berber market close to the nearby small town of Tnine Ourika. The Kasbah is sustainably managed: hot water supply from solar panels; community projects; staff being trained from local Berber villages; plans to generate its own electricity. The vegetable garden has now become an organic market garden supplying the Kasbah’s restaurant as well as others in Marrakech. Underground tanks collect rainwater for irrigation of the vegetables, whilst ‘grey’ water is used for the lawns and rose garden. The Earth construction provides excellent insulation and together with well fitted windows and doors keeps the warmth in and obviates the need for air conditioning.

Excellent Moroccan fusion cuisine, prepared using locally grown, organic ingredients under the tuition of 2 highly experienced chefs. Fabulous breakfast buffet offering a wide choice.
