Day 1: MARRAKECH / COULEURS BERBERES
Welcoming participants at the Menara airport. Transfer to Couleurs Berbères. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: COULEURS BERBÈRES/ OUADAKER / AZGOUR
Breakfast in Couleurs Berberes and transfer to the small Berber village of Ouadaker (in berber: "woman who sleeps on top of the mountain») for a day hike (56 km south of Marrakech, after Lake Takerkoust. Ouadaker is the starting point of the hike, home to hospitable people with ancient traditions.
A valley separates us from another douar called Azrou. The latter has its own traditions, different from that of Ouadaker, especially folklore.
Above all, Azrou is a small douar backed by a mountain where there is a source of mineral spring water.
Following a path along the valley, crossing the High Atlas mountains after 2h30 of walk, we arrive at an abandoned mountain village: Tasga. The tasty perennial spring water source can be found there as well. Nearby, there are houses and wild fruit trees: home to a few country people.
Outdoor lunch and then visit the houses.
Later, we follow a path that leads to the river to regain the left bank. After 1h30mn walk, we arrive at Tizgi, a mountain douar as Tasga, but it is still inhabited by a very welcoming. Berber population We leave Tizgi to reach a village called Azgour. There was once a neighborhood called Agourbi, which was inhabited by the French during the protectorate Where was a mine operated by the French. Every Saturday a Souk is held in Azgour.
It's the end of the day. snack and lodging in a Berber house. Stroll in the douar and return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: AZGOUR / ADOUZ
After breakfast, we leave Azgour to Adouz on a trail along the mountain. The first Berber village that we pass is ANERN. We continue to Tnirt passing through orchards (apples). We then cross the valley of Azgour. Lunch with a magnificent view on the middle of the High Atlas mountains. Relaxation and we continue through the great valley of Imi-n-tala on the path that leads to Tilfitine and Sidihmad-argrag. From the latter, we arrive at a Berber house in Adouz, atop a cliff with a beautiful panoramic view. Lodging in the house. Snack and then walk around the village. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: ADOUZ / AIT AHMED
Breakfast then discovery of the surroundings of Ardouz at the heart of the Berber culture: its houses structure, spontaneity and hospitality of its inhabitants. Continue to Amizmiz, crossing several Berber villages: Ait Marzoug, Oussoul, Tizi oussoul and finally Kettou, where we will have breakfast. We then cross the main valley Amizmiz to regain the left bank. We crossed a few villages very characteristic: Imzain, Dounmar, and finally Igordane Ait Ahmed. After lunch, local visit, accomodation in a mountain gite, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: AHMED AIT / AIT IRIGHT
Breakfast and then we leave Ait Ahmed Ait Iright for a walk through the mountains of the High Atlas and wilderness. We hear the sound of the birds and of the water spring that comes from the small sources.
After a 3 hours hike, a lunch break outdoors and then resume walking, for 2 hours to reach Ait Iright. Acoomodation in a Berber house. After lunch, visit the village to meet the Berber natives always so friendly and spontaneous. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: AIT IRIGHT / OUADAKER / COULEURS BERBERES
Breakfast and departure to Ouadaker along a path with a beautiful panoramic view. First we will reach Tafgart, a Berber village where we will have lunch. Then passing Tamazirt, we cross the valley of Amizmiz. We come then to Azrou Ofalousse where we discover the caves of Portugal and the mills of Hanna. Then we pass by Zawita-n-tality, which means "dome". Then it will cross Taadroucht: "Barracks of France" a historical relic. At Regraga we meet the great potters and their craft. We then rejoin Ouadaker, the start and end of our great expedition.
Back to Couleurs Berbères. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: COULEURS BERBERES
Breakfast. Leisure day
Possibility to assist in preparations of lunch or dinner for those who want to learn Moroccan cuisine(cookery workshop).
Workshops: Berber and Arabic calligraphy, henna, pottery, basketry,etc.
Facilities: Swimming pool, basketball, football, volleyball, petanque, climbing wall, board games, etc.
The evening dinner with animation(local musicians-gnawa, ahwach, dakka marrakchia, etc.) around the campfire.
Overnight stay in the tents.
Day 8: COULEURS BERBERES/ Marrakech Menara Airport
Breakfast. Transfer to Marrakech Menara International airport. Assistance with registration forms and check in.
