A SAHARIAN BALLAD













DAY 1 : MARRAKESH

Arrival at Menara airport. Warm welcome by the guide. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and night at hotel.

DAY 2 : MARRAKESH / TELOUET / OUARZAZATE
After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate on 4x4 car via the Tizin’Tichka pass (2260m). After Taddart, a secondary road leads to the Village of Telouet, visit of the kasbah, a typically Berber building which served once as the residence of the Pasha Glaoui. Lunch under nomad tents in front of the kasbah. Then continuation by the track, ancient road of caravans, the scenary is of exceptionnal beauty passing by berber traditional villages. The track ends at 25 Km before Ouarzazate, at Aït Ben Haddou. Visit of the famous kasbah which was the subject of many international shootings and which is now an international heritage of the Unesco. Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 3 : OUARZAZATE / TANSIKHT / ZAGORA
Departure early in the morning, after breakfast, for Zagora. The itinerary consist of 80 Km of tarred road until Tansikht. At Tansikht, you take the track of the Draâ valley; the green depth of the valley strongly contrasts with the arrid mountain. The way of life has been the same for many centuries. Arrival to Zagora, then visit of Tamegroute, an old-aged religious center with its library possesing precious manuscripts of illuminated Koran and ancient works of history and medicine. Excursion to Tinfou, the first heralding dunes of the desert. Return to Zagora. Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 4 : ZAGORA / NEKOB / TINEGHIR
Breakfast then departure for a new adventurous journey in the desert through  strikingly beautiful panoramas. First your will pass the tarred road of until Tansikht then the track leads your to the berber village of Nekob. The road, then, goes through the jebl Saghro  mountain with its beautiful panorama: profound valleys and rocky plateaus…You will join Tineghir. Lunch paquet.
By the end of the afternoon, arrival to Tineghir. Dinner and night.

DAY 5 : TINEGHIR / TODRA GORGES & DADES / OUARZAZATE
Breakfast, then departure for an unforgetable step in the Atlas. Before taking the track, stop for a magnificient view on the extensive palm groves of Tineghir.
Incursion into the Todra gorges  an impressive canyon of which the two cliffs of 300m  are rigorously vertical. You will pass the Msemirir , a fortified Village, then the Aït Toukhousine and d’imdiazen. Lunch paquet...you will see magnificient panorama in the Dades valley. road to Ourzazate, arrival by the end of the afternoon. Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 6 : OUARZAZATE / OASIS OF FINT / MARRAKESH
After breakfast, departure to the oasis of Fint  through a 15 Kilometres rocky track . Welcome tea in a moroccan house with dates and almonds according to the tradition. Then road to Marrakech via the Tizin’Tichka col through the high Atlas. Arrival to Marrakech in the evening. Dinner and Night at the hotel.

DAY 7 : MARRAKESH
After breakfast, visit of the capital of the south, which once gave its name to the country. The Koutoubia mosque, a strikingly beautiful example of the combination between apparent simplicity and superb craftsmanship of the Hispano- Moresque art. The Saadien Tombs, an outstandingly beautiful feature of  the 16th Century architecture. The Bahia Palace, with its luxurious apartments, which open into an inner courtyard. The Menara Gardens planted with olive trees and disposing of a great system of irrigation.  In the afternoon, continue your way with a panoramic tour of the ocher–red ramparts built in the 12th century. Then on to the famous Jamaa El Fna Square, the traditional meeting place of astonishing characters, storytellers, acrobats, snake charmers a spectacle that defies belief. From there reaching the souks with its various quarters of craftsmanship in the central area of the Medina. In the evening, depart for a farewell dinner in an ancient palace in the medina with belly dance and moroccan folkolore.
Night at hotel.

DAY 8 : MARRAKESH
After breakfast, and according to flight hours, free time then transfer to the airport. Assistance for the registration formalities
