ROAD NETWORK : It is the best of the Maghreb : on 56 000 Km, 25 000 are asphalted. The roads are well enough entertained. If you are to take the tracks, ask for information first on their conditions which varies according to the seasons.
DRIVING : Be careful because in practice, the driving code is not fully respected. Avoid driving by night because bikes and Motorcycles are rarely lit up. Signposts respect international norms. In great cities and principal axes signs are bilingual (Arabic & French). If you were to part the principal axis try to have a good map. Speed limit varies between 40/60 Km/h in the city, on the principal roads, 120Km/h on the highway (existing only in the north).
PETROL : Petrol (super or Ordinary) . Attention, petrol stations are rare outside the cities. Stations proposing super plus are still very rare in the country. In small villages, you will easily find Gazoïl more than petrol.
Driving licence: You must have your Driving licence for more than a year and be 21 years old minimum
